Cleaning

◦Clean outer smooth surfaces with a clean moistened microfiber cloth.
◦For smooth and threaded rods, use a disposable lint free cloth to remove any accumulated dust or debris.

Lubrication

◦Clean and lubricate rods after approximately 50 hours of use or if any squeaks are heard in movement.
◦For smooth rods, only use clear silicone grease and apply a light coating to rods of the X, Y, and Z axis.
◦For threaded Z-axis rods, apply a lithium or graphite based grease for wear, heat and corrosion resistance.

Belt Tensioning

◦Belts should have a maximum deflection when measured at the pulley bearing of between 13 and 15mm.
Also, when strumming the belt, it should resonate for no longer than 1 second.

Extruder Adjustments
◦Extruder gears should move smoothly by hand with no binding during rotation.
◦If play is detected in gear mesh, follow calibration procedure.
